A cyclonic circulation has formed over North Thailand and extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level. It is likely to move towards the North Andaman Sea by the evening of September 18. Under its influence, a low-pressure area may form over the North Andaman Sea by the evening of September 19.
The system is expected to gradually intensify and move west-northwestwards towards the South Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh coasts over the next three to four days. The developing system may bring heavy rainfall to Odisha, with the source warning of rain over the next four days.
