Excessive firecracker bursting during Diwali has pushed Cuttack and Bhubaneswar into a blanket of smoke, worsening air quality across the Twin Cities. Thick smoke has engulfed roads and neighbourhoods, severely reducing visibility. In some areas, it has become difficult to see even 10 metres ahead, making safe driving challenging for commuters. Residents, particularly in the capital city, are struggling to breathe amid the rising air pollution.
