ଅଙ୍ଗଦାନ ହେଉଛି ମାନବିକତାର ଏକ ମହାନ ଉଦାହରଣ। ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ପରେ ତାଙ୍କ ଦାନ କରାଯାଇଥିବା ଅଙ୍ଗ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣଙ୍କ ଜୀବନରେ ନୂଆ ଆଶା ଓ ଆଲୋକ ଆଣିପାରେ। ହୃଦୟ, କିଡ୍ନି, ଲିଭର, ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଭଳି ଅଙ୍ଗ ଦାନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଅନେକ ଗୁରୁତର ରୋଗୀ ନୂଆ ଜୀବନ ପାଇପାରନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ ଅଙ୍ଗଦାନ କେବଳ ଏକ ଦାନ ନୁହେଁ, ଏହା ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ପରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଅନ୍ୟର ଜୀବନରେ ବଞ୍ଚି ରହିବାର ଏକ ମହାନ ସୁଯୋଗ। ଲୋକସେବା ଭବନରେ ସ୍ବାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ଓ ପରିବାର କଲ୍ୟାଣ ବିଭାଗ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଅଙ୍ଗଦାନ ଦିବସ ପାଳନ ଅବସରରେ ଏହି ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି ଅଙ୍ଗଦାତାଙ୍କ ପରିବାର ସଦସ୍ୟ।
“Donate organs, save lives” — families of organ donors have shared a powerful message on the importance of organ donation. They said donated organs can bring new hope and a new lease of life to another person even after the donor’s death. Organs such as the heart, kidneys, liver and eyes can help critically ill patients get a chance at a new life. The message was shared during an Organ Donation Day observance organised by the Health and Family Welfare Department at Lok Seva Bhawan. The families emphasised that organ donation is not merely a donation, but a noble opportunity to continue helping another person even after death.
