Hundreds of elderly people from Dihagaon Panchayat under Dasapalla block in Nayagarh district have staged a protest outside the Block Development Officer’s (BDO) office, alleging that they have not received their old-age pension for the past three months. The distressed beneficiaries spread bedding on the ground, lay down outside the office and expressed their anguish through tears. They have vowed not to withdraw their protest until their pending pension payments are released, highlighting the difficulties faced by elderly residents due to the alleged delay.
