Tensions have escalated at SVM College in Jagatsinghpur amid student union election activities, with two student groups reportedly clashing over allegations of money and biryani being distributed among students on campus. A confrontation broke out between candidates from the Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Alleging bias in the election process, BCJD members staged a mass protest in front of the college’s main gate. The incident has intensified the political atmosphere on campus ahead of the student elections.
