In a tragic incident in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, a dispute over paying an expensive mobile phone's EMI claimed the lives of an entire family of three. Nineteen-year-old Kunal Chandgude had purchased a costly smartphone and repeatedly demanded money from his parents, Muralidhar and Sangeeta Chandgude, to pay the installment. Following a heated argument, an enraged Kunal threatened self-harm near a cliff, prompting a three-hour standoff involving local villagers, police, and fire brigade personnel. When his father attempted to pull him to safety from the edge, both fell into a 100-foot deep gorge during the struggle. Overcome with grief after witnessing her husband and son perish, Sangeeta jumped off the cliff moments later. All three died on the spot, and police have registered a case to conduct a detailed investigation.
