ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ଉତ୍କଟ ବନ୍ୟା ପରିସ୍ଥିତି। ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷା ଯୋଗୁଁ ୬ ବ୍ଲକର ଶତାଧିକ ଗାଁକୁ ମାଡିଗଲା ସାଳନ୍ଦୀ ଓ ବୈତରଣୀ ବନ୍ୟାପାଣି। ତେଣୁ ଆଜି ବନ୍ୟା ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ଭଦ୍ରକ, ଭଣ୍ଡାରିପୋଖରୀ, ବାସୁଦେବପୁର, ଧାମନଗର, ତିହିଡି ଓ ଚାନ୍ଦବାଲି ବ୍ଲକର ସମସ୍ତ ସ୍କୁଲ ଓ ଅଙ୍ଗନବାଡି କେନ୍ଦ୍ରକୁ ଛୁଟି ଘୋଷଣା କରାଯାଇଛି। ଅନେକ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ପାଣିର ଲହଡି ମାରୁଛି। ଭଣ୍ଡାରିପୋଖରୀ ବ୍ଲକ ଷୋଳମପୁର ରାସ୍ତାରେ ୨ ଫୁଟର ବନ୍ୟା ଜଳ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହୋଉଛି। ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଯାତାୟତ ଅସୁବିଧା ହେଉଛି।
Bhadrak district is witnessing an alarming flood situation as continuous rainfall has caused the Salandi and Baitarani rivers to overflow, inundating hundreds of villages across six blocks. Floodwaters have affected Bhadrak, Bhandaripokhari, Basudevpur, Dhamnagar, Tihidi and Chandbali blocks, disrupting normal life and creating difficulties for residents. As a precautionary measure, the administration has declared a holiday for all schools and Anganwadi centres in the affected areas. In several places, floodwaters continue to flow over roads, with nearly two feet of water reported on the Sholampur road in Bhandaripokhari block, severely affecting transportation.
