A clash broke out during a Ganesh idol immersion procession in Gunder Gaon under Niali police limits in Cuttack. According to the source, the procession was underway at night with a DJ vehicle when a dispute broke out. Police reached the spot to control the situation, but some youths allegedly attacked the police. Police personnel Biswajit Bagh was injured, suffering injuries to his head and leg.

Police from Niali, Olatpur and Gobindpur reached the spot. The source says a case has been registered against 80 people, while six have been arrested so far. The DJ vehicle used during the procession has also been seized.
