Ganjam district BJP Yuva Morcha president B. Somnath Patra has been arrested by Gopalpur Police over allegations of arguing with and threatening police personnel. According to the information available, police had conducted a raid at a hotel near Berhampur University and rescued two child labourers. During the operation, Somnath Patra allegedly got into an argument with the police. Police Inspector Saubhagya Swain subsequently lodged a complaint at Gopalpur Police Station. Police arrested Somnath Patra and produced him before the court. No response has been received from Somnath Patra regarding the allegations.
