As floodwater gradually recedes in Basudevpur of Bhadrak district, residents are facing a fresh scare after a giant crocodile was spotted floating in the floodwater. The crocodile was reportedly seen near Dasdihi Pal along a branch of the Mantei River. Local youths travelling by boat filmed the reptile on their mobile phones. The source estimates the crocodile to be around 10 feet long.
