Heavy Rain Floods Rourkela; Roads, Settlements Under Water After 5 Hours of Rain

ଜାରି ରହିଛି ପ୍ରବଳ ବର୍ଷା। ଆଜି ଭୋର୍ ୩ ଟା ରୁ ହୋଇଥିବା ବର୍ଷାରେ ପୁରା ବେହାଲ ସ୍ମାର୍ଟ ସିଟି ରାଉରକେଲା। ଯୁଆଡ଼େ ଦେଖିବେ ଖାଲି ପାଣି ଆଉ ପାଣି। ବସ୍ତି ବୁଢ଼ିଚି । ରାସ୍ତା ଉପରେ ପାଣି। ପ୍ରାୟ ୫ ଘଣ୍ଟାର ପ୍ରବଳ ବର୍ଷା ସ୍ମାର୍ଟ ସିଟିର ମୁଖା ଖୋଲି ଦେଇଛି। ମିନି ଇଣ୍ଡିଆ ଆଜି ପୁରା ବେହାଲ । ସହରର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ରାସ୍ତା ହେଉ କି ରିଙ୍ଗ ରୋଡ଼ ସବୁଠି ଆଜି ଖାଲି ପାଣି ଆଉ ପାଣି। ଯୁଆଡ଼େ ଯିବେ ପାଣିରେ ଭର୍ତ୍ତି ।

Rourkela was left severely waterlogged after heavy rain began around 3 AM today and continued for nearly five hours. Several parts of the Smart City are submerged, with water covering roads and affecting settlements. Major roads as well as the Ring Road have also been inundated, leaving the city severely disrupted. The prolonged downpour has exposed the condition of the city’s drainage and water-management system. From the main roads to different parts of the city, waterlogging has become the dominant scene, leaving Rourkela in a severely affected condition.
