ଭିତରକନିକାରେ କୁମ୍ଭୀର ଆତଙ୍କ, ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ମୁହଁରୁ ବଞ୍ଚାଇ ଦେଲେ ବନ କର୍ମଚାରୀ । କଙ୍କଡ଼ା ଧରିବାକୁ ଯାଇ କୁମ୍ଭୀର ଆକ୍ରମଣର ଶିକାର ହେଲେ ବୃଦ୍ଧ ମଦନ ବେହେରା। କେନ୍ଦ୍ରାପଡ଼ା ରାଜନଗର ବ୍ଲକ୍ ଭିତରକନିକା ଜଙ୍ଗଲରେ ଘଟିଛି ଏହି ଅଘଟଣ। ବାଙ୍କୁଆଳ ଗାଁର ମଦନ ଜଙ୍ଗଲ ଭିତରେ କଙ୍କଡ଼ା ଧରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ହଠାତ୍ ଏକ କୁମ୍ଭୀର ତାଙ୍କୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିଥିଲା। କୁମ୍ଭୀର କବଳରୁ ବଞ୍ଚିବା ପାଇଁ ମଦନ ଚିତ୍କାର କରିଥିଲେ। ତାଙ୍କ ଚିତ୍କାର ଶୁଣି ନିକଟରେ ଯାଉଥିବା ବନ କର୍ମଚାରୀମାନେ ଘଟଣାସ୍ଥଳରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଥିଲେ। କିପରି ଘଟଣା ଘଟିଥିଲା, ତାହା କହିଛନ୍ତି ନିଜେ ମଦନ।

A crocodile attack was reported in the Bhitarkanika forest under Rajnagar block of Kendrapara district. Elderly Madan Behera of Bankual village was attacked by a crocodile while he was catching crabs inside the forest. As the crocodile attacked him, Madan screamed for help. Hearing his cries, nearby forest personnel rushed to the spot and rescued him from the crocodile. Madan Behera himself has now described how the attack took place.
