ସହିଦଙ୍କ ସ୍ମୃତିରେ ତିଆରି ସମାଧିପୀଠ... ହେଲେ ଆଜି ଅବହେଳିତ। ଅସାମାଜିକଙ୍କ ଆଡ଼ା ସହ ମଦ ବୋତଲ, ଅଳିଆ ଆବର୍ଜନାରେ ଭର୍ତ୍ତି ସମାଧି ପୀଠ। ନାଁକୁ କେବଳ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଟନକ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ମାନ୍ୟତା, ହେଲେ ବର୍ଷସାରା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ରକ୍ଷଣାବେକ୍ଷଣ ନାହିଁ। ଏହି ସେହି ଭଦ୍ରକର ଇରମ ମାଟି, ଯେଉଁଠି ୧୯୪୨ରେ ଭାରତଛାଡ଼ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ ସମୟରେ ବ୍ରିଟିଶ ବିରୋଧରେ ଏକାଠି ହୋଇଥିଲେ ହଜାର ହଜାର ସଂଗ୍ରାମୀ। ସେପ୍ଟେମ୍ବର ୨୮ ତାରିଖ ଆଜିର ଦିନରେ ବ୍ରିଟିଶଙ୍କ ଗୁଳିମାଡ଼ରେ ସହିଦ ହୋଇଥିଲେ ୨୯ ଜଣ ସଂଗ୍ରାମୀ।

The Irm Martyrs’ Memorial in Bhadrak, a site associated with the freedom struggle, is reportedly lying neglected despite being recognised as a tourist destination. The memorial premises are littered with liquor bottles and garbage and have allegedly become a hangout for anti-social elements. Irm holds historical significance as thousands of freedom fighters gathered there during the Quit India Movement in 1942 against British rule. On September 28, 1942, 29 freedom fighters were martyred in British firing at the site. The lack of regular maintenance has now raised concerns over the condition of the memorial.
