ଲଘୁଚାପ ବର୍ଷାରେ ଫୁଲୁଛି ଜଳକା, ବିପଦ ସଙ୍କେତ ଟପିଲା ଜଳସ୍ତର। ବାଲେଶ୍ବର ବସ୍ତା ବ୍ଲକ୍ ମଥାନୀ ଠାରେ ବିପଦ ସଙ୍କେତ ୬.୫୦ ମିଟର ଥିବାବେଳେ ସକାଳ ୬ଟା ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଜଳସ୍ତର ୭.୮୪ ମିଟରରେ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉଛି। ଉପରମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷା ଜାରି ରହିଥିବାରୁ ଆଗକୁ ଜଳସ୍ତର ଆହୁରି ବଢ଼ିବା ଆଶଙ୍କା । ଫଳରେ ବସ୍ତା ସମେତ ବାଲେଶ୍ବର ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ତଳିଆ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ବନ୍ୟା ଭୟ ଘାରିଛି।
The Jalaka River is swelling due to continuous rain triggered by the low-pressure system, with its water level crossing the danger mark at Mathani in Basta block of Balasore district. With heavy rainfall continuing in the upper catchment areas, the water level is expected to rise further, raising fears of flooding in low-lying areas of Basta and other parts of Balasore district.
