Salandi River Swells Again, Floodwaters Enter Low-Lying Areas of Bhadrak

ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଉଛି ସାଳନ୍ଦୀ ନଦୀର ଜଳସ୍ତର। ସକାଳ ୭ଟା ସୁଦ୍ଧା ସାଳନ୍ଦୀ ନଦୀ ରାଜଘାଟଠାରେ ବିପଦ ସଂକେତ ୧୭ ଫୁଟ ଥିବା ବେଳେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ୧୬.୨୦ ଫୁଟର ବନ୍ୟା ଜଳ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉଛି। ଧିରେ ଧିରେ ଉପର ମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ଲାଗି ରହିଥିବା ବର୍ଷା ଓ ହଦଗଡ ଡ୍ୟାମ ଜଳ ନିଷ୍କାସନ ଯୋଗୁଁ ସାଳନ୍ଦୀ ଜଳସ୍ତର ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଉଛି। ଅନେକ ତଳିଆ ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ହୋଇଛି।
The water level of the Salandi River is rising steadily, raising fresh flood concerns in Bhadrak district. As of 7 AM, the river was flowing at 16.20 feet at Rajghat, against the danger mark of 17 feet. Continued rainfall in the upper catchment areas, along with water discharge from Hadagarh Dam, has contributed to the rising water level.
