ଗଣତନ୍ତ୍ରର ପ୍ରଥମ ଅଧିକାର...ନିଜ ପ୍ରତିନିଧି ନିଜେ ବାଛିବା। ହେଲେ ଆମ ରାଜ୍ୟର କଲେଜ୍ କ୍ୟାମ୍ପସରେ ୮ ବର୍ଷ ହେଲା ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ଗଣତାନ୍ତ୍ରିକ ଅଧିକାରରେ ତାଲା । ଦାବି ଅଛି.. ପ୍ରତିବାଦ ଅଛି.. ହେଲେ ଭୋଟ୍ ନାହିଁ। ପୂର୍ବ ବିଜେଡି ସରକାର, କ୍ୟାମ୍ପସରେ ହିଂସା ଏବଂ କୋଭିଡ୍ ଆଳରେ ୬ ବର୍ଷ ଛାତ୍ର ସଂସଦ ନିର୍ବାଚନ ବନ୍ଦ ରଖିଲେ। ଆଉ ୨୦୨୪ରୁ, ବିଜେପି ସରକାରରେ ବି ୨ ବର୍ଷ ହେଲା ଭୋଟ ବନ୍ଦ। ସରକାର କହୁଛନ୍ତି ସକରାତ୍ମକ ଅଛୁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ.. ଛାତ୍ର ରାଜନୀତି ଯଦି ଆଗାମୀ ନେତୃତ୍ୱର ପ୍ରୟୋଗଶାଳା, ତେବେ ସେହି ପ୍ରୟୋଗଶାଳାରେ ଗଣତନ୍ତ୍ରର ଦ୍ବାର ବନ୍ଦ କାହିଁକି ? ଛାତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ନିଜ ନେତା ବାଛିବାର ଅଧିକାର କେବେ ମିଳିବ ? ସରକାର ବଦଳିଲା.. ହେଲେ ଭୋଟରେ ପଡ଼ିଥିବା ତାଲା କାହିଁକି ଖୋଲିଲାନି ? ସକରାତ୍ମକ କହି କାହିଁକି ସମୟ ଗଡ଼ାଉଛନ୍ତି ସରକାର। କ୍ୟାମ୍ପସ୍ ହିଂସାକୁ ଡର ନା ଛାତ୍ରଙ୍କ ରାୟକୁ ଭୟ। ଆଜି ଜନମଞ୍ଚର ସିଧା ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ.. ଏବର୍ଷ ଛାତ୍ର ସଂସଦ ନିର୍ବାଚନ ହେବ ତ ? ଯଦି ହେବ.. କେବେ ? ଆଉ ଯଦି ହେବନି.. କାହିଁକି ହେବନି ? ଆଜି ଜବାବ ମାଗୁଛନ୍ତି ଛାତ୍ର ଓ ଛାତ୍ରନେତା। ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ ଜନମଞ୍ଚର ମହାବିତର୍କ- କଲେଜ ଇଲେକ୍ସନ୍ କେବେ ?

For eight years, student union elections have remained suspended across college campuses in Odisha, raising questions over students' democratic right to elect their representatives. The previous BJD government kept the elections suspended for six years, citing campus violence and COVID, while the BJP government has also completed two years since 2024 without polls.
