A newly constructed bitumen road from Radhanagar to Dantapali in Boudh has come under serious allegations of large-scale corruption. Though crores of rupees are being spent on the road, the bitumen has reportedly started peeling off within a month of construction, raising questions over the quality of work and alleged misuse of government funds. There are also allegations of illegal tree cutting in violation of norms and removal of moram from grazing land. Villagers have expressed strong resentment over the poor-quality road, while the District Collector has assured an inquiry.
