Janmashtami Today: Special Rituals Arranged, Puri Darshan Closed From 7 PM

ଆଜି ଜନ୍ମାଷ୍ଟମୀ। ଭାଦ୍ରବ କୃଷ୍ଣପକ୍ଷ ଅଷ୍ଟମୀ ତିଥିରେ ପାଳନ କରାଯାଉଛି ଶ୍ରୀକୃଷ୍ଣଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମୋତ୍ସବ । ଆଜି ମଧ୍ୟରାତ୍ରିରେ ଶ୍ରୀକୃଷ୍ଣ ଜନ୍ମଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବେ ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମନ୍ଦିର ଗୁଡିକରେ ବିଶେଷ ପୂଜାନୀତିର ଆୟୋଜନ କରାଯାଉଛି। ଜନ୍ମାଷ୍ଟମୀ ପାଇଁ ପୁରୀରେ ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ନୀତିର ଆୟୋଜନ କରାଯାଇଛି । ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟା ଧୂପ ଭୋଗ ଛେକ ଆସିବା ପରେ ଶ୍ରୀକୃଷ୍ଣ ଜନ୍ମ ନୀତି ଶେଷ ହେବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସଂଧ୍ୟା ୭ଟାରୁ ରାତି ୧୨ଟା ପ୍ରଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସର୍ବସାଧାରଣ ଦର୍ଶନ ବନ୍ଦ ରହିବ ।

Janmashtami is being observed today on the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Bhadra, marking the birth celebration of Lord Krishna. Special puja rituals are being organised at temples as the birth of Lord Krishna is observed at midnight. In Puri, special rituals have been arranged for Janmashtami, with general darshan remaining closed from 7 pm to midnight after the evening Dhupa bhoga offering is brought in, until the completion of the Sri Krishna Janma ritual. The celebrations centre around the midnight birth ritual of Lord Krishna.
