ମହାନଦୀ ସିଷ୍ଟମରେ ବନ୍ୟା। ହୀରାକୁଦ ଡ୍ୟାମର ୨୬ଟି ଗେଟ୍ ଦେଇ ତଳମୁଣ୍ଡକୁ ଆସୁଛି ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ। ଗତକାଲି ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟା ସୁଦ୍ଧା ମୁଣ୍ଡୁଳିରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୮ ଲକ୍ଷ କ୍ୟୁସେକ୍ ପାଣି ପହଞ୍ଚିଥିବା ସୂଚନା ମିଳିଛି। ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ କଟକ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ବାଙ୍କୀ ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ଶାଖାନଦୀ ରଣ ଓ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରପାରେ ପଶିବା ପରେ ଶହ ଶହ ଏକର ଚାଷଜମି ଜଳମଗ୍ନ ହୋଇଛି। ମହାନଦୀରେ ବନ୍ୟା ପରିସ୍ଥିତିକୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ରଖି ଧବଳେଶ୍ୱର ପୀଠକୁ ଆଜି ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଭକ୍ତଙ୍କ ପ୍ରବେଶ ନିଷେଧ କରାଯାଇଥିବା ବେଳେ ଧାରା ୧୬୩ ଜାରି କରାଯାଇଛି।
Flood situation intensifies in the Mahanadi river system as Hirakud Dam releases floodwater through 26 gates. Around 8 lakh cusecs of water reportedly reached Mundali by yesterday evening, raising concerns in downstream areas.
