ଚର୍ଚ୍ଚିତ ଟିଭି ଶୋ' କୌନ୍ ବନେଗା କରୋଡପତି ମଞ୍ଚରେ ମାଲକାନଗିରିର ଝିଅ ଜୟନ୍ତୀ ବୁରୁଦା। ଦେଶର ଦଶ ଜଣ ପ୍ରତିଯୋଗୀଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସ୍ଥାନ ପାଇଛନ୍ତି ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଏହି ଆଦିବାସୀ ଝିଅ। ମାଲକାନଗିରି ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଜଙ୍ଗଲ ରାଣୀ ଭାବେ ଜଣାଶୁଣା ଜୟନ୍ତୀ ଦୁର୍ଗମ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଆଦିବାସୀଙ୍କ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସମସ୍ୟାକୁ ନେଇ ସାମାଜିକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିଆସୁଛନ୍ତି। ଆଦିବାସୀ ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ଜଣେ ଅଗ୍ରଣୀ ମହିଳା ଭାବେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଅନେକ ସମ୍ମାନ ଓ ପୁରସ୍କାର ମଧ୍ୟ ମିଳିଛି। କୌନ୍ ବନେଗା କରୋଡପତିର ହଟ୍ ସିଟ୍ ରେ ବସିବା ଥିଲା ଜୟନ୍ତୀଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱପ୍ନ। ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଦୀର୍ଘଦିନ ଧରି ପ୍ରୟାସ କରିଥିଲେ। ଶେଷରେ କେବିସିର ବଡ଼ ମଞ୍ଚରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବାର ସୁଯୋଗ ପାଇଥିଲେ।

Malkangiri’s Jayanti Buruda has made her place among 10 contestants from across the country on the popular television show Kaun Banega Crorepati. Known as the “Jungle Rani” of Malkangiri district, Jayanti has been working in remote tribal areas on various issues affecting tribal communities. Recognised as a leading woman from a tribal region, she has received several honours and awards for her social work. Sitting on the KBC hot seat was Jayanti’s long-cherished dream, and she had been making efforts for a long time to reach the show. Her dream finally came true when she got the opportunity to appear on the grand KBC platform.
