ଅଚାନକ ଆସିଲା, ବୁଡାଇଲା, ଭସାଇ ନେଇଗଲା। ସ୍ଥିତି ହେଲା ସାଙ୍ଘାତିକ। ଅବପାତ ବର୍ଷା ଫଳରେ ମୟୂରଭଞ୍ଜ ଜିଲ୍ଲା କପ୍ତିପଦା ଉପଖଣ୍ଡରେ ସ୍ଥିତି ଗମ୍ଭୀର ହୋଇଛି। ଗୋଟିଏ ଦିନରେ ମାତ୍ର କେଇ ଘଣ୍ଟାରେ ଉଦଳା ବ୍ଲକର ଦୁଗୁଧା, ଜାଲଦା, ଅଠଣଗାଁ, ପଣସଗଡି ସମେତ କପ୍ତିପଦା ବ୍ଲକର ଝିଙ୍କପଦା, ବଣିଆ ଗାଁ, ଶାଳଚୁଆ, ପେଡାଗଡି ସମେତ ୨୫ରୁ ଅଧିକ ଗାଁରେ ପାଣି ପଶିଲା। ହେଲେ ଏହି ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣି ଆସିବା ବାବଦରେ କାହା ପାଖରେ ସୂଚନା ନ ଥିଲା। ଉଭୟ କାଳ ଏବଂ ସୁନେଇ ଡ୍ୟାମ ଅଚାନକ ଭାବେ ଡ୍ୟାମର ଦୁଇରୁ ୩ ଗୋଟି ଲେଖାଏଁ ଗେଟ ଖୋଲି ଦେବାରୁ ବନ୍ୟା ସ୍ଥିତି ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହେଲା। ପ୍ରଶାସନ ଏବଂ ଡ୍ୟାମ କର୍ତ୍ତୃପକ୍ଷଙ୍କ ଅବହେଳା ପାଇଁ ଏଭଳି ସ୍ଥିତି ତିଆରି ହୋଇଥିବା ଅଭିଯୋଗ ଆଣିଛନ୍ତି ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ପରିବାର।
The flood situation has turned serious in Kaptipada subdivision of Mayurbhanj following heavy rain triggered by a depression. Floodwater entered more than 25 villages, including areas in Udala and Kaptipada blocks, within just a few hours. Affected families allege they had no prior information about the sudden rise in floodwater and claim that two to three gates each of the Kala and Sunei dams were opened suddenly, leading to the flooding. They have alleged negligence by the administration and dam authorities. The claims are being made by affected families.
