An unidentified box-like object has been found hanging from a tree behind an Anganwadi centre at Gendara Sahi under Naranpur Panchayat in Nilagiri block of Balasore district. The object appears to resemble a plastic box and has the number ‘P0086’ written on it. Its origin, how it reached the spot and what it contains are not known. Locals are reportedly apprehensive after spotting the object. There is speculation in the area that it could be part of a weather department or DRDO equipment, but this has not been confirmed. Barahampur Police are reportedly in contact with ISRO regarding the object, though no official response has been received so far.
