Naveen Writes to Mohan, Seeks Special Odisha Assembly Session on MMDR

MMDRକୁ ନେଇ ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ଅଧିବେଶନ ଡାକନ୍ତୁ ସରକାର । ଏନେଇ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମୋହନ ମାଝୀଙ୍କୁ ଚିଠି ଲେଖିଛନ୍ତି ବିରୋଧୀ ଦଳ ନେତା ନବୀନ ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ। ଚିଠିରେ ନବୀନ ଦର୍ଶାଇଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, MMDR ସଂଶୋଧନର ପରିଣାମ ସ୍ବରୂପ, ଓଡ଼ିଶାକୁ ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ ଆର୍ଥିକ କ୍ଷତି ସହିବାକୁ ପଡିବ ଏବଂ ଏହାର ସାମ୍ବିଧାନିକ ଅଧିକାର କ୍ଷୟ ହେବ। ଗୃହର ନେତା ଭାବରେ, ଆପଣ ବିଧାନସଭାର ଏକ ସ୍ବତନ୍ତ୍ର ଅଧୂବେଶନ ଡାକି MMDR ସଂଶୋଧନ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାହାର ପାଇଁ ଏକ ସର୍ବସମ୍ମତ ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବ ଆଣନ୍ତୁ। ଏହା ରାଜ୍ୟର ସାମ୍ବିଧାନିକ ଅଧିକାରକୁ ପୁନଃନିର୍ଦ୍ଦିଷ୍ଟ କରିବ, ଯାହାକୁ ମାନ୍ୟବର ସୁପ୍ରିମକୋର୍ଟ ସମର୍ଥନ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ସ୍ବାର୍ଥକୁ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ଦେବା ଦିଗରେ ବହୁତ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିବ ବୋଲି ଚିଠିରେ ଦର୍ଶାଇଛନ୍ତି ନବୀନ। ତେବେ ନବୀନଙ୍କ ଚିଠି ନେଇ ଶାସକ ଦଳର କୌଣସି ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ମିଳିପାରିନି ।

Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik has written to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi seeking a special session of the Odisha Assembly over the MMDR Amendment. In the letter, Naveen said the amendment could lead to significant financial losses for Odisha and affect the state’s constitutional rights. He urged the Chief Minister, as Leader of the House, to convene a special session and bring a unanimous resolution seeking repeal of the amendment. The demand comes amid the ongoing political debate over the MMDR Amendment Act, with the Odisha government having earlier said the issue could be discussed during the regular Assembly session.
