Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari has urged people to remain alert for the next 24 hours, saying that around 6 lakh cusecs of floodwater could flow through Mundali by midnight.
At present, floodwater is being released from Hirakud Dam through 20 gates, while the Hirakud reservoir water level remains above 629 feet.
