Odisha Panchayat Polls Likely in March-April! Election Date May Be Announced After March 5

ଆସନ୍ତା ମାର୍ଚ୍ଚ ଶେଷ କିମ୍ବା ଏପ୍ରିଲ ପ୍ରଥମ ସପ୍ତାହରେ ହୋଇପାରେ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ନିର୍ବାଚନ। ଏନେଇ ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି ରାଜ୍ୟ ନିର୍ବାଚନ କମିଶନର ମଧୁସୂଦନ ପାଢ଼ୀ। ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ନିର୍ବାଚନ ପାଇଁ କମିଶନ ଜୋରସୋରରେ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି ଚଳାଇଥିବା ଓଟିଭିକୁ ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି କମିଶନର। ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ନିର୍ବାଚନ ପାଇଁ ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ଭୋଟର ତାଲିକା ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି ନେଇ ଅକ୍ଟୋବର ୨୪ରୁ ନଭେମ୍ବର ୭ ଯାଏ ଘରକୁ ଘର ସର୍ଭେ କରାଯିବ। ସର୍ଭେ ପରେ ଆପତ୍ତି ଓ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରାଯିବ। ଏବଂ ଫେବ୍ରୁଆରୀ ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ସପ୍ତାହ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଚୂଡ଼ାନ୍ତ ଭୋଟର ତାଲିକା ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଇବ। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଜନଗଣନା ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ଚାଲିଥିବାରୁ, ଏହା ସରିବା ପରେ ହିଁ ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ମାର୍ଚ୍ଚ ୫ ପରେ ନିର୍ବାଚନ ତାରିଖ ଘୋଷଣା ହୋଇପାରେ। ଯଦିଓ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତଗୁଡ଼ିକର ଅବଧି ଫେବ୍ରୁଆରୀରେ ସରୁଛି, ଜନଗଣନା ପାଇଁ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ନିର୍ବାଚନ ମାସେ ବିଳମ୍ବ ହେବ ବୋଲି ନିର୍ବାଚନ କମିଶନର କହିଛନ୍ତି। ସେପଟେ, ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ନିର୍ବାଚନ ସରିବାର ପ୍ରାୟ ମାସେ ପରେ ପୌର ନିର୍ବାଚନ ହେବ। ଏଥିରେ ନୂଆ କରି ଘୋଷଣା ହୋଇଥିବା ଏନଏସି, ମ୍ୟୁନିସିପାଲିଟି ଓ ମ୍ୟୁନିସିପାଲ କର୍ପୋରେସନକୁ ସାମିଲ କରାଯିବ। ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ଭୋଟ ପାଇଁ ୧୫ ହଜାର ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ବାଲାଟ ବକ୍ସ ଓ ପୌର ନିର୍ବାଚନ ପାଇଁ ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ୬ ହଜାର ଇଭିଏମ୍ ଅର୍ଡର ଦିଆଯାଇଛି।

Odisha Panchayat elections may be held in late March or the first week of April, State Election Commissioner Madhusudan Padhi has said. The State Election Commission is carrying out preparations, with a house-to-house survey for a separate voter list scheduled from October 24 to November 7.

After the survey, objections and claims will be invited, while the final electoral roll is expected to be published by the second week of February. Since the census process is currently underway, the election schedule may be announced only after March 5. The Panchayat polls may be delayed by around a month due to the census.
