A violent attack during Ganesh Visarjan in Bhadrak has left one person dead and another critically injured, allegedly over past enmity. Lakshmidhar Jena was killed after attackers allegedly assaulted him and his son Parshuram Jena with glass bottles and a bhujali. Parshuram sustained critical injuries and was shifted to Cuttack’s SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment. The gruesome incident took place at Jena Sahi under Raandia Panchayat in the Bhadrak Rural police station area. The incident occurred during the Ganesh idol immersion procession, turning the celebration into a scene of violence.
