He stressed that countries should not retreat during times of crisis and called for unity to face growing instability caused by conflicts. Modi said there must be a balance between development and the environment and urged citizens and organisations to connect with BRICS. He noted the growing influence of Global South nations in BRICS and said unity in diversity is the group’s identity. He also highlighted the impact of pandemics and climate change, stressing the need for clean air for a healthy lifestyle and the courage to face every challenge.
