PM Modi Meets Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian, Discusses West Asia Crisis and Trade

ଇରାନ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ମାସୁଦ ପେଜେସ୍କିଆନଙ୍କୁ ଭେଟିଲେ ମୋଦି । SCO ସମ୍ମିଳନୀ ଅବସରରେ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମୋଦି ଇରାନର ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ମାସୁଦ ପେଜେସ୍କିଆନଙ୍କ ସହ ମଧ୍ୟ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିଛନ୍ତି । ଏହି ବୈଠକରେ ପଶ୍ଚିମ ଏସିଆର ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ପରିସ୍ଥିତି ଏବଂ ଦୁଇ ଦେଶ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବାଣିଜ୍ୟ ସମ୍ପ୍ରସାରଣ ଉପରେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଆଲୋଚନା ହୋଇଛି । ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମୋଦି ପଶ୍ଚିମ ଏସିଆରେ ବଢ଼ୁଥିବା ଉତ୍ତେଜନା ଉପରେ ଗଭୀର ଚିନ୍ତା ପ୍ରକଟ କରିଛନ୍ତି । ଭାରତର ପୁରୁଣା ଆଭିମୁଖ୍ୟକୁ ଦୋହରାଇ କହିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ସମସ୍ତ ସମସ୍ୟାର ସମାଧାନ କେବଳ ଆଲୋଚନା ଏବଂ କୂଟନୀତି ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ହିଁ ସମ୍ଭବ। ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ପେଜେସ୍କିଆନ ଏହି ସଙ୍କଟ ସମୟରେ ଭାରତର ସହଯୋଗକୁ ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଏହି ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଶାନ୍ତି ଓ ସ୍ଥିରତା ଫେରାଇ ଆଣିବା ପାଇଁ ଭାରତ ନିଜର ଆନ୍ତର୍ଜାତୀୟ ସମ୍ପର୍କର ବ୍ୟବହାର କରୁ ବୋଲି ସେ ମୋଦୀଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁରୋଧ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ସାମୁଦ୍ରିକ ବାଣିଜ୍ୟ ପଥର ସୁରକ୍ଷା ଉପରେ ଜୋର ଦେଇ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ସାମୁଦ୍ରିକ ପରିବହନ ଏବଂ ବାଣିଜ୍ୟର ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତାକୁ ବଜାୟ ରଖିବା ଜରୁରୀ। ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ପରିସ୍ଥିତି ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସାଧାରଣ ନାଗରିକ ଏବଂ ବାଣିଜ୍ୟିକ ଜାହାଜର କର୍ମଚାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେପରି କୌଣସି କ୍ଷତି ନପହଞ୍ଚେ, ତାହା ନିଶ୍ଚିତ କରିବାକୁ ସେ ଆହ୍ୱାନ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the SCO Summit. The two leaders held important discussions on the conflict situation in West Asia and expanding trade between India and Iran. PM Modi expressed deep concern over the rising tensions in West Asia and reiterated India’s position that issues can be resolved only through dialogue and diplomacy. President Pezeshkian appreciated India’s support during the crisis and urged PM Modi to use India’s international relations to help restore peace and stability in the region. PM Modi also stressed the need to protect maritime trade routes and maintain freedom of navigation and commerce, while calling for the safety of civilians and crew members of commercial vessels amid the conflict.
