Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi and signed the condolence book following the loss of lives and large-scale devastation caused by the flash flood in Nepal on August 26, 2026. He expressed deepest condolences on behalf of the Government and people of India.

Rajnath Singh said the disaster affected Nepali citizens as well as foreign nationals, including Indian nationals. He expressed sympathy for the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery for those injured.
