ଏସିସିବି ମେଡିକାଲରେ ମାନସିକ ରୋଗୀ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ଘଟଣାକୁ ୪୮ ଘଣ୍ଟା ବିତିଲାଣି, ହେଲେ ଏଯାଏଁ କୌଣସି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ଗ୍ରହଣ ହୋଇନାହିଁ। ମୃତକଙ୍କ ପରିବାର ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଏନେଇ ମଙ୍ଗଳବାଗ ଥାନାରେ ହତ୍ୟା ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରାଯାଇଛି । ପୋଲିସ ହତ୍ୟାକାଣ୍ଡ ମାମଲା ରୁଜୁ କରି ତଦନ୍ତ କରୁଛି । ତେବେ ୱାର୍ଡର ସିସିଟିଭି ଫୁଟେଜରେ ମୃତ ଶ୍ରୀକାନ୍ତ ଦାସଙ୍କୁ ମାଡ ମାରୁଥିବା ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ଜଣାପଡୁଛି । ହେଲେ, କାହିଁକି ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତ ମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗିରଫ କରୁନାହିଁ ପୋଲିସ ? ତାହାକୁ ନେଇ ଅନେକ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ଉଠିଛି । ନ୍ୟାୟ ପାଇଁ ଦାବି କରିଛନ୍ତି ପରିବାର ଲୋକ । ସେପଟେ ଏସିପି କହିଛନ୍ତି ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଦିଗରୁ ତଦନ୍ତ କରାଯାଉଛି । ଏହାସହ ସିସିଟିଭି ଫୁଟେଜ ଜବତ ମଧ୍ୟ ହୋଇଛି । ସିସିଟିଭିରୁ କିଛି ପ୍ରମାଣ ମିଳିଛି । ଫୋରେନ୍ସିକ ରିପୋର୍ଟ ସହ ପୋଷ୍ଟମର୍ଟମ ରିପୋର୍ଟକୁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରାଯାଇଛି । ଏହାସହ ସେଦିନ ଡ୍ୟୁଟିରେ ଥିବା କର୍ମଚାରୀ ଓ ସିସିଟିଭି ଫୁଟେଜରୁ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ମିଳିଥିବା ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ବିଶେଷଙ୍କୁ ପଚରାଉଚରା କରାଯାଇଛି। ଖୁବଶୀଘ୍ର ସମସ୍ତ ରିପୋର୍ଟ ଆସିବା ପରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରାଯିବ ।

It has been 48 hours since the death of mentally ill patient Srikanth Das at SCB Medical, but no arrest has been made so far. His family has filed a murder complaint at Mangalabag Police Station, following which police registered a case and launched an investigation. The family alleges that CCTV footage clearly shows Srikanth being assaulted inside the ward and has demanded justice. The ACP said CCTV footage has been seized and evidence has been found, while staff on duty and people seen in the footage have been questioned. Police are awaiting the forensic and post-mortem reports before taking further action.
