Seven Funeral Pyres Lit Together at Puri Swargadwar as Family of Seven Cremated

ଏକାଠି ଜଳିଲା ସାତ ସାତଟି ଜୁଇ । ପୁରୀ ସ୍ବର୍ଗଦ୍ବାରରେ ସମ୍ପର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେଲା ବନମାଳି ବେହେରାଙ୍କ ପୁଅ, ଦୁଇ ଝିଅ, ଜ୍ବାଇଁ ଓ ୩ ନାତିନାତୁଣୀଙ୍କ ଶେଷକୃତ୍ୟ । ଗତକାଲି ବିଳମ୍ବିତ ରାତିରେ ମଧ୍ୟପ୍ରଦେଶରୁ ସ୍ବତନ୍ତ୍ର ଆମ୍ବୁଲାନ୍ସ ଯୋଗେ ଭୁବନେଶ୍ବରରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଥିଲା ମରଶରୀର । ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଦେଶର ପ୍ରଶାସନିକ ଅଧିକାରୀଙ୍କ ଉପସ୍ଥିତିରେ ମରଶରୀର ଓ ଉଦ୍ଧାର ଜନିଷ ପରିବାର ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ହସ୍ତାନ୍ତର କରାଯାଇଛି । ମରଶରୀରକୁ ପୁରୀ ସ୍ବର୍ଗଦ୍ବାର ନିଆଯାଇ ଅନ୍ତିମସଂସ୍କାର କରାଯାଇଛି ।

Seven funeral pyres were lit together at Puri Swargadwar as the last rites of seven members of the Behera family were completed. The deceased include Banamali Behera’s son, two daughters, a son-in-law and three grandchildren.
The bodies were brought to Bhubaneswar from Madhya Pradesh late last night in special ambulances. In the presence of administrative officials from Madhya Pradesh, the bodies and recovered belongings were handed over to the family.
