Severe Rainfall Batters Odisha, Mayurbhanj Records 273 mm in 24 Hours

ଅବପାତ ପ୍ରଭାବରେ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଜାରି ରହିଛି ବର୍ଷା। ଗୋଟିଏ ଷ୍ଟେସନରେ ଅତି ଭୀଷଣ ବର୍ଷା ହୋଇଥିବା ବେଳେ ୩ଟି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଅତି ପ୍ରବଳ ଓ ୨୨ଟି ଷ୍ଟେସନରେ ପ୍ରବଳ ବର୍ଷିଛି। ଗତ ୨୪ ଘଣ୍ଟାରେ ମୟୁରଭଞ୍ଜ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ବହଳଦାରେ ରେକର୍ଡ ହୋଇଛି ସର୍ବାଧିକ ୨୭୩ ମିଲିମିଟର ବର୍ଷା। ସେହିପରି ରାଇରଙ୍ଗପୁରରେ ୧୮୦ ଓ ବରଗଡ଼ର ଝାରବନ୍ଧରେ ୧୫୦, ମୟୁରଭଞ୍ଜର ଜାମଦାରେ ୧୨୪ ମିଲିମିଟର ବର୍ଷା ରେକର୍ଡ ହୋଇଛି।

Rain continues across Odisha under the influence of a depression, with extremely heavy rainfall recorded at one station, very heavy rain at three locations and heavy rain at 22 stations. Over the past 24 hours, Bahalda in Mayurbhanj district recorded the highest rainfall at 273 mm. Rairangpur received 180 mm, while Jharbandh in Bargarh recorded 150 mm and Jamda in Mayurbhanj received 124 mm. Balishankara in Sundargarh district recorded 115 mm, while Tensa received 112.5 mm of rainfall. The widespread heavy rainfall has added to concerns in several parts of the state.
