The Odisha government has reduced the penalty for vehicles without a valid Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC), bringing the maximum fine down from ₹10,000 to ₹6,000. Under the revised rules, motorcycles and three-wheelers will attract a ₹1,000 fine for the first offence and ₹2,000 for the second. Motor cabs, cars, jeeps, tractors and trailers will face ₹2,000 and ₹5,000 penalties respectively, while other vehicles will attract ₹3,000 for the first offence and ₹6,000 for the second.
