The presence of peacocks in Pakidi forest and surrounding villages of Ganjam district, Odisha, has reportedly declined compared with previous years, according to local residents. Known for its peacock sightings, the area once offered frequent views of groups of the national bird, particularly when dark clouds gathered. Residents are now demanding accurate information about the birds' numbers and movement.
