A family in Sakhipara, Sambalpur, has been living with a severe cracked-palm condition for three generations. Sameer Khan, whose palms are deeply cracked and darkened, says he has had the condition since birth. His young son is also showing similar symptoms, raising concerns about the family's future. Because their fingertips do not produce clear fingerprint impressions, the family has reportedly been unable to complete Aadhaar enrolment and has consequently been deprived of government benefits.
