An emotional farewell at Government Radhaballabhpur School in Basudevpur Municipality of Bhadrak district left the school premises filled with tears as students bid goodbye to two teachers who were transferred after receiving promotions. Raghunath Barik and Narendra Prasad Sahu were felicitated at the school before leaving for their new postings. Students followed the teachers up to the road, pleading with them not to leave and saying they could never forget them. One teacher had served at the school for 20 years and the other for four years, creating a close bond with generations of students. The students said the teachers taught them well and cared for them like their own daughters. Raghunath Barik said they were bound by the government system and had to leave, adding that he taught Mathematics and Science and understood why the students found it difficult to say goodbye. The farewell reflected the enduring bond between teachers and students.
