Thermal cameras are helping the Forest Department track elephant movements in the darkness of night in Dhenkanal district. The Dhenkanal Forest Division has released footage showing elephants moving through the forest after dark. While spotting elephants with ordinary cameras can be difficult in low-light conditions, thermal imaging helps detect their presence and monitor their movements.
