In a dramatic incident in San Dumuripali village under Manamunda police station limits in Odisha’s Boudh district, two alleged thieves were caught after hiding under a bed when the homeowner woke up during a theft. The duo had reportedly entered the house and stolen a mobile phone and cash. Instead of fleeing, they hid under the bed. The alert homeowner shut the doors and called villagers for help. The villagers caught the two men, tied them to an electric pole and allegedly assaulted them. The next morning, they informed Manamunda police, who arrived at the spot and took the two accused into custody. Police also seized a vehicle and a weapon-like object in connection with the case. Further investigation is underway.
