Third Flood Hits Bhadrak as Kansabansa, Gomei Rivers Swell; Villages Under Threat

ଫୁଲୁଛି ଭଦ୍ରକର କାଂଶବାଂଶ ଓ ଗମେଇ ନଦୀ। ପ୍ରଥମ ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣି ଛାଡି ନଥିବାବେଳେ ଆସିଥିଲା ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣି। ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ବନ୍ୟାପାଣି କମିନଥିବା ବେଳେ ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ପୁଣି ଫୁଲିଛି କାଂଶବାଂଶ ଏବଂ ଗମେଇ ନଦୀ। ତୃତୀୟ ଥର ପାଇଁ ଆସିଛି ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣି। ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣି ବଢିବା କାରଣରୁ ଶହ ଶହ ହେକ୍ଟର ଚାଷ ଜମି ଜଳମଗ୍ନ ହେବା ସହ ଗାଁ ମୁହାଁ ବନ୍ୟାପାଣି। ବନ୍ୟା ଦୂର୍ଦ୍ଦଶା ଯାଇନଥିବା ବେଳେ ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷା ସାଙ୍ଗକୁ ତୃତୀୟ ଥର ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣି ବଢାଇଛି ଲୋକଙ୍କ କଷ୍ଟ।

Floodwaters have entered several areas of Bhadrak as the Kansabansa and Gomei rivers continue to swell amid incessant rainfall. The district is facing a third wave of flooding even before the water from the previous flood had fully receded. Hundreds of hectares of farmland have been submerged, while floodwater is now moving towards villages, worsening the plight of local residents. With the flood situation yet to return to normal, continuous rain and the fresh rise in river levels have added to the difficulties faced by people in the affected areas.
