3 Orangutan Cubs Diagnosed With Anaemia At Nandankanan

୩ ଓରାଙ୍ଗଉଟାନଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ତହୀନତା ନେଇ ଆସିଲା ରିପୋର୍ଟ । ଜଣକୁ ସିଭିୟର ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ୨ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ସାମାନ୍ୟ ରକ୍ତହୀନତା ଚିହ୍ନଟ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି। ସମସ୍ତ ଓରାଙ୍ଗଉଟାନ ଶାବକଙ୍କର ଆଜି ସକାଳେ ବ୍ୟାପକ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରାଯାଇଛି। ଟେକ୍ନିକାଲ କମିଟିର ସଦସ୍ୟଙ୍କ ଉପସ୍ଥିତିରେ ଏହି ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ପରୀକ୍ଷାରେ ଶାବକମାନଙ୍କ ଛାତି, ପେଟ ଓ ଖପୁରୀର ଏକ୍ସ-ରେ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ଏଥିସହ ରକ୍ତ, ସିରମ୍ ଏବଂ ନାସୋଫାରିଞ୍ଜିଆଲ୍ ସ୍ୱାବ୍ ମଧ୍ୟ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରାଯାଇଛି। ଇନ୍-ହାଉସ୍ ହେମାଟୋଲୋଜି ପରୀକ୍ଷାରୁ ଚିହ୍ନଟ ହେଲା ରକ୍ତହୀନତା। ଟେକ୍ନିକାଲ କମିଟିର ପରାମର୍ଶକ୍ରମେ ଆନିମିଆରେ ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ଶାବକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ସପୋର୍ଟିଭ୍ ସପ୍ଲିମେଣ୍ଟେସନ୍ ଦେବା ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଛି। ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଲାବୋରେଟୋରୀ ପରୀକ୍ଷା ରିପୋର୍ଟ ଏବେ ଆସିବାକୁ ବାକି ରହିଛି। ରିପୋର୍ଟ ଆସିବା ପରେ ସେହି ଆଧାରରେ ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ଓ ଯତ୍ନ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନିଆଯିବ ବୋଲି ନନ୍ଦନକାନନ ଉପନିର୍ଦେଶକ ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି ।

A health report has found anaemia in three orangutan cubs at Nandankanan Zoo, with one diagnosed with severe anaemia and the other two with mild anaemia. All the orangutan cubs underwent comprehensive health check-ups this morning in the presence of members of the technical committee. Their chest, abdomen and skull X-rays were conducted, while blood, serum and nasopharyngeal swab samples were also collected. Anaemia was detected through in-house haematology tests. As advised by the technical committee, supportive supplementation has been started for the affected cubs. Reports from various laboratory tests are still awaited, following which further treatment and care will be decided, the Nandankanan Deputy Director informed.
