400 Vehicle Permits Set to Be Cancelled Over Capital City Violence

ରାଜଧାନୀରେ ବିଶୃଙ୍ଖଳା ପାଇଁ ୪୦୦ ଗାଡ଼ିର ପରମିଟ୍ ବାତିଲ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲା ପରିବହନ ବିଭାଗ। ପୋଲିସକୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ ଓ ସରକାରୀ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଭଙ୍ଗାରେ ସାମିଲ ଗାଡ଼ି ମାଲିକ ଓ ଚାଳକଙ୍କ ବିରୋଧରେ କଡ଼ା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ପାଇଁ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହେଲା ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା। ଘଟଣାରେ ସାମିଲ ଗାଡ଼ିଗୁଡ଼ିକର ପରମିଟ୍ ବାତିଲ କରିବାକୁ ପରିବହନ ବିଭାଗ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଛି। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ପ୍ରାୟ ୪୦୦ଟି ଗାଡ଼ି ଚିହ୍ନଟ କରାଯାଇଛି। କେବଳ ପରମିଟ୍ ନୁହେଁ, ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ହେଲେ ସମ୍ପୃକ୍ତ ଗାଡ଼ିଗୁଡ଼ିକର RC ମଧ୍ୟ ରଦ୍ଦ କରାଯିବ। ଆଗାମୀ ଦିନରେ ଗାଡ଼ିଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଯେପରି କୌଣସି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଚଳାଚଳ କରିନପାରିବେ, ସେନେଇ ମଧ୍ୟ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା କରାଯିବ। ଘଟଣାରେ ସାମିଲ ଥିବା ଡ୍ରାଇଭରମାନଙ୍କ ଡ୍ରାଇଭିଂ ଲାଇସେନ୍ସ ବାତିଲ କରିବା ନେଇ ମଧ୍ୟ ପରିବହନ ବିଭାଗ ବିଚାର କରୁଛି। ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ଅନୁମତି ମିଳିଲେ ସମ୍ପୃକ୍ତ ଡ୍ରାଇଭରମାନଙ୍କ ଲାଇସେନ୍ସ ମଧ୍ୟ ରଦ୍ଦ କରାଯିବ ବୋଲି ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ପରିବହନ କମିଶନର କହିଛନ୍ତି ।

The Odisha Transport Department has initiated the process to cancel the permits of around 400 vehicles identified in connection with the unrest in the state capital. The vehicle owners and drivers allegedly involved in attacking police personnel and damaging government property are facing strict action. Apart from permit cancellation, the department may also cancel the Registration Certificates (RCs) of the vehicles if required, and measures are being considered to prevent them from operating in the future. The department is also examining the cancellation of driving licences of drivers involved in the incident. The Additional Transport Commissioner said the licences may be cancelled after obtaining the necessary approval.
