Even as Odisha continues to deal with the aftermath of Cyclone Arnab, another weather system is developing over the Bay of Bengal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast the possibility of a depression forming around October 31. The system may intensify further over the next two days and move towards the Andhra Pradesh coast. A low-pressure area is currently active over the South Andaman Sea and is likely to move west-northwestwards. Under its influence, rainfall may begin in Odisha from November 1.
