ବାତ୍ୟା ନୁହେଁ ଗଭୀର ଅବପାତ ରୂପ ନେବ ବଙ୍ଗୋପସାଗରେ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇଥିବା ଲଘୁଚାପ କ୍ଷେତ୍ର। ୧୧ଟି ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଉପରେ ପ୍ରଭାବ ପଡିବ ବୋଲି କହିଛନ୍ତି ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଶାସନ ସଚିବ। ‘କାଲିଠୁ ବର୍ଷା ଆରମ୍ଭ ୨୩ ଓ ୨୪ରେ ପ୍ରବଳ ବର୍ଷିବ’। ‘ଉପକୂଳ ଏବଂ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଲର୍ଟ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ’ ଦିଆଯାଇଛି। ‘ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରାବତୀରେ ଏବଂ ତେଲିଙ୍ଗିରି ଡ୍ୟାମରେ ପାଣି କମାଇବାକୁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ହୋଇଛି।
A low-pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a deep depression, according to the information in the report. Eleven districts of Odisha are expected to be affected, with rainfall likely to begin from tomorrow and heavy rain forecast for the 23rd and 24th. District Collectors in coastal and southern Odisha have been alerted. Instructions have also been issued to reduce water levels in the Indravati and Telingiri dams. The report says the weather system is not expected to become a cyclone but is likely to intensify into a deep depression, with authorities taking precautionary measures ahead of the expected rainfall.
