ଉଛୁଳା ନଦୀ...ଢଳଢଳ ଡଙ୍ଗା...ଆଉ ଜୀବନକୁ ବାଜିରେ ଲଗାଇ ଯାତ୍ରା କରୁଛନ୍ତି କେନ୍ଦ୍ରାପଡା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ରାଜକନିକା ବ୍ଲକ ଗଙ୍ଗାଧର ପ୍ରସାଦଡିଆ ଗାଁର ଶହଶହ ଗ୍ରାମବାସୀ । ଶିକ୍ଷା, ସ୍ବାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ହେଉ କି ଅତ୍ୟାବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ସେବା ପାଇଁ ସହରକୁ ଯିବାକୁ ହେଲେ ଖରସ୍ରୋତାର ଉଛୁଳା ଜଳରାସିକୁ ଅତିକ୍ରମ କରିବାକୁ ପଡେ । ଖରସ୍ରୋତାର ପାଣି ଯେତିକି ଗଭୀର, କୁମ୍ଭୀରର ଆତଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେତିକି ଭୟଙ୍କର । ହେଲେ, ନିରୁପାୟ ମଣିଷଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଏଭଳି ଡଙ୍ଗା ହିଁ ଏକମାତ୍ର ସାହାରା ପାଲଟିଛି । ଲୋକମାନେ ବହୁବାର ପୋଲ ଟିଏ ପାଇଁ ଦାବି କଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦାବି ଦାବିରେ ହିଁ ରହିଯାଉଛି । ସେପଟେ, ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳ କହିଛନ୍ତି ସର୍ଭେ କରାଯାଇ ପୋଲ ନିର୍ମାଣ ପାଇଁ ସରକାରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବ ଦିଆଯାଇଛି ।

Hundreds of villagers in Gangadhar Prasadadia village under Rajkanika block of Kendrapada district are forced to cross the swollen Kharasrota River by boat for education, healthcare and other essential services. With deep waters and the reported threat of crocodiles, residents say the journey is risky, but the boat remains their only means of connectivity. Villagers have repeatedly demanded a bridge, but the demand is yet to be fulfilled. The District Collector said a survey has been conducted and a proposal for bridge construction has been submitted to the government.
