Delhi Police detained Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) chief Abhijit Deepak and other leaders at Delhi airport after they arrived from Mumbai. Ashutosh Ranka and Saurabh Das were also detained, while CJP legal cell head Ratna Singh was reportedly in custody. YouTuber Dhruv Rathee was also reportedly detained at his residence in Gurugram.

Ahead of the planned protest demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar and raising concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, security has been tightened around Jantar Mantar. Roads leading from Mandi House to Jantar Mantar have been sealed, metro station entry and exit services have been shut, train cancellations have been reported, and internet services have been temporarily suspended in certain areas.

Jantar Mantar, Janpath, the Election Commission and the Police Headquarters areas have been declared highly sensitive, with heavy security deployment.
