ବଙ୍ଗୋପସାଗରରେ ପୁଣି ଏକ ବାତ୍ୟା ଆଶଙ୍କା । ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଓ ଆନ୍ଧ୍ର ଉପକୂଳରେ ମାଡ଼ ହୋଇପାରେ ଏହି ବାତ୍ୟା। ଏଭଳି ଆକଳନ କରିଛନ୍ତି ପାଣିପାଗ ପୂର୍ବାନୁମାନ କରୁଥିବା କିଛି ବିଦେଶୀ ସଂସ୍ଥା । ତେବେ ଭାରତୀୟ ପାଣିପାଗ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ବାତ୍ୟା ଆକଳନ କରାଯାଇନାହିଁ । ବଙ୍ଗୋପସାଗରରେ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇଥିବା ସମ୍ଭାବ୍ୟ ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିଝଡ଼ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଓ ଆନ୍ଧ୍ରପ୍ରଦେଶ ଉପକୂଳରେ ମାଡ଼ ହୋଇପାରେ । ଏବେ ଉତ୍ତର ତାମିଲନାଡୁ ଉପକୂଳ ନିକଟ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ-ପଶ୍ଚିମ ବଙ୍ଗୋପସାଗରରେ ଏକ ଉପର-ବାୟୁ ସଞ୍ଚାଳନ ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ସକ୍ରିୟ ଅଛି। ଏହା ସମୁଦ୍ର ପତ୍ତନଠାରୁ ୫.୮ କିଲୋମିଟର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ବ୍ୟାପିଛି। ଆସନ୍ତା ୨୩ ତାରିଖ ବେଳକୁ ଏହା ଲଘୁଚାପର ରୂପ ନେଇପାରେ। ପ୍ରଭାବରେ ଆଗାମୀ ତିନି ଦିନ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଉପକୂଳ ଆନ୍ଧ୍ରପ୍ରଦେଶର ବିଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ପ୍ରବଳ ବର୍ଷା ହେବାର ସମ୍ଭାବନା ଅଛି। ଅନ୍ୟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଘଡ଼ଘଡ଼ି ସହ ହାଲୁକାରୁ ମଧ୍ୟମ ଧରଣର ବର୍ଷା ସମ୍ଭାବନା ରହିଛି।

A possible cyclone developing over the Bay of Bengal has raised concerns about the Odisha and Andhra Pradesh coasts. Some foreign weather forecasting agencies have predicted that the system could intensify and cross the coast between north coastal Andhra Pradesh and southern Odisha by the end of October. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not issued a cyclone forecast so far. An upper-air cyclonic circulation is currently active over the southwest Bay of Bengal near the north Tamil Nadu coast, extending up to 5.8 km above sea level. It may develop into a low-pressure area around October 23, potentially bringing heavy rainfall at isolated places along coastal Andhra Pradesh over the next three days, while other areas may experience light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms. Forecasts suggest the system could intensify into a depression by October 27 and move towards the central Bay of Bengal. Its possible track and intensity are expected to become clearer over the next two days. The system is being closely monitored, but a cyclone and its potential landfall remain unconfirmed.
