Deep Depression May Bring Heavy Rain and Strong Winds Tonight

ବଙ୍ଗୋପସାଗରରୁ ସ୍ଥଳଭାଗ ମୁହାଁ ଗଭୀର ଅବପାତ। ଭୀଷଣ ରୂପ ଧାରଣ କରି ଏବେ ଘଣ୍ଟାକୁ ୬ କିଲୋମିଟର ବେଗରେ ଦକ୍ଷିଣା ମୁହାଁ ହୋଇଛି ଡିପ୍ ଡିପ୍ରେସନ୍। ପାଣିପାଗ ବିଭାଗ ଆକଳନ କରିଛି, ଆଜି ରାତି ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଏହା ବିଶାଖାପାଟଣା ଓ ଗୋପାଳପୁର ମଝି ଦେଇ କଳିଙ୍ଗପଟ୍ଟନମରେ ସ୍ଥଳଭାଗ ଅତିକ୍ରମ କରିବ। ଗଭୀର ଅବପାତ କୋରାପୁଟ ଓ ରାୟଗଡ଼ା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଦେଇ ପାସ୍ କରିବାକୁ ଥିବାରୁ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ପ୍ରବଳ ବର୍ଷା ସାଙ୍ଗକୁ ଘଣ୍ଟା ପ୍ରତି ୫୫ରୁ ୬୫ କିଲୋମିଟର ବେଗରେ ପବନ ବହିପାରେ ବୋଲି ସତର୍କ କରାଇଛି ପାଣିପାଗ ବିଭାଗ।

A deep depression over the Bay of Bengal is moving towards the landmass and is currently travelling southwards at a speed of 6 kmph. According to the weather department, the system is likely to cross the coast near Kalingapatnam, between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur, by tonight. As the deep depression is expected to pass through Koraput and Rayagada districts, several parts of South Odisha may receive heavy rainfall along with strong winds reaching 55 to 65 kmph. The weather department has issued a warning for the affected areas.
