Drugs mafia allegedly ran a car over police personnel during late-night patrolling in Jagatsinghpur Sadar. A police constable, Nityananda Senapati, was seriously injured after the accused allegedly tried to run him over with a car. Police have arrested notorious drug mafias Vicky Parija and Jacky Parija, while three others involved in the case are absconding. Around a year ago, drugs worth nearly Rs 3 crore had reportedly been seized from these accused. Further investigation into the case is underway.
