A brutal attack during Ganesh Visarjan in Bhadrak has claimed the life of Lakshmidhar Jena, while his son Parshuram Jena is critically injured and has been shifted to Cuttack’s SCB Medical College and Hospital. According to the complaint, Lakshmidhar ran a chicken shop in the local area and had a previous dispute with some people. Allegedly holding a grudge, miscreants vandalised his shop and attacked Lakshmidhar and his two sons with glass bottles and a bhujali. Lakshmidhar died at the spot, while one of his sons sustained critical injuries. The incident occurred at Jena Sahi under Raandia Panchayat in the Bhadrak Rural police station area. Police have detained four people for questioning in connection with the case.
