Flood After Flood: Fresh Baitarani Rise Leaves Dasarathpur Residents Distressed

ପୁଣି ବନ୍ୟା... ପୁଣି ଦୁର୍ଦ୍ଦଶା... ବୈତରଣୀରେ ବନ୍ୟା ପରେ ଯାଜପୁର ଦଶରଥପୁରରେ ବଢିଛି ଦୁର୍ଦ୍ଦଶା। ସାମାନ୍ୟ ସୁଧାର ଆସିଥିବା ବେଳେ ପୁଣି ନଦୀର ଜଳ ବିପଦ ସଙ୍କେତ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେବାରୁ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଚିନ୍ତା ବଢ଼ିଛି। ପୂର୍ବ ବନ୍ୟାରେ ଦଶରଥପୁରର ୧୫ରୁ ଅଧିକ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ଜଳମଗ୍ନ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ଚାରିଦିନ ପରେ ପାଣି କମିବାରୁ ଲୋକେ ଘରକୁ ଫେରିବାକୁ ଉଦ୍ୟମ କରୁଥିଲେ। ହେଲେ ପୁଣି ବନ୍ୟା ଜଳ ଗାଁକୁ ପଶିବାରୁ ଜଳବନ୍ଦୀ ଭୟ ଦେଖାଦେଇଛି।

Fresh flooding has once again worsened the situation in Dasarathpur, Jajpur, after the Baitarani River rose above the danger mark. Residents had begun returning home after floodwaters receded following four days, but fresh floodwater has again entered villages, raising fears of renewed waterlogging and isolation. More than 15 panchayats in Dasarathpur were submerged during the previous flood, and the latest rise in water has once again increased the worries of local residents.
